Founded in December 1944, the former Nishio Seiki Co., Ltd. changed its name to Taiho Kogyo Co., Ltd., and at the same time moved its business factory to its current location near the Toyota Motor Corporation headquarters. From this moment on, the history of our company began. The name "Taitoyo" had two meanings: "Let's liven up the company with everyone's efforts in great harmony" and "Let's grow big and prosperous together with Toyota Motor Corporation."
Since our company was founded, we have accumulated a wide range of technologies, from basic research to applications, with the theme of "friction and wear" in automobiles, and have developed as a "specialist in tribology (friction engineering)."
